On September 25 and 26, a contest for the title of “The best tire-changing specialist in Vologda region” took place with an active support of the Group of GARO Companies. The contest was organized by OOO GK Rustechnika, a dealer of the GARO Group and had a status of an open competition for a title of the best specialist in the particular professional field. The total number of contestants exceeded 50.

The strict board of judges that included, among others, representatives of the GARO Group, evaluated the contestants’ professional skills in the following criteria:

— speed;

— observance of the technology while detecting and eliminating a problem;

— compliance with the norms of safety and cultural standards at a workplace.

It should be noted that the event’s target was not only to establish the best tire-changing specialist in the region, but also to stimulate the tire service executives to provide professional training for their employees, to expand the knowledge regarding abilities of contemporary tire-changing equipment. It was for this purpose that ZAO “GARO-Trade” (a structural division of the GARO Group) has provided the contestants with state-of-the-art machines within the range of tire-changing and wheel-balancing equipment manufactured by Giuliano Industrial (Italy).

Certainly, the most anticipated part of the event was awarding of the winners, especially since they were granted valuable prizes in addition to the diplomas of participation.

We would like to congratulate the contest winners:

1st prize – Sergey Omelyanovich (ООО “Partner Auto”). Note that this contestant was also honored with the Audience Award

2nd prize – Oleg Kolesov (ООО “ASK AUTO”)

3rd prize – Ivan Novikov (individual entrepreneur Sudnitzyn A.V.)

An additional prize for the 4th place was instituted and granted to Ilya Tarasyuk (Real Motors) for his immense zeal and potential.

We would like to emphasize that the Group of GARO Companies established a special nomination “For the best mastering of innovative technologies in tire-changing”, the prize for which was awarded to Alexander Borisov (ООО “Protector”) who was the fastest to master the innovative mounting/demounting QX device that enables to completely avoid any damage of rims and tires and considerably simplifies handling large-size wheels and Run Flat tires.

We are grateful to the contest’s organizers and participants and hope that it will become a traditional annual event.

Perfection of professional skills and competence of the customers is one of the priorities of the Group of GARO Companies operations. In order to help “to solve efficiently the issues of our clients who render vehicle repairs and maintenance services, thus opening for them opportunities on a global scale” (the Mission of GARO Group), the Group of GARO Companies regularly conducts various seminars, master classes and presentations.

Thus, on September 10-12, 2014, the training and demonstration center of the GARO Group has hosted a seminar covering sales and servicing of a wide range of the latest car-servicing equipment the GARO Group supplies to the market.

A large scope of interesting and useful information was presented regarding tire-changing and lifting equipment, car conditioner and automatic gearbox units, updated electric bench E250М-02 for starters and generators diagnostics and software thereto, disk lathe, and other equipment.

Within the framework of this event, a presentation of tire-changing equipment by Giuliano was done by a representative of this Italian manufacturer. Both our partners and specialists from the prominent car-servicing and repairing companies of Veliky Novgorod and region were attending the presentation.

All participants have noted the high level of the training, superior quality and unique technical characteristics of the presented equipment.

On August 28 through 31, 2014, the 10th International Exhibition of car industry “Interauto-2014” was hosted by “Crocus-Expo” center.

The aggregate floor area of “Interauto-2014” was 46,000 sq m, its participants were 700 companies from 30 regions of the Russian Federation and 19 countries worldwide (Belorussia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, China, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Russia, Romania, USA, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, France, and South Korea). The exposition consisted of the following thematic segments:

• car components and spare parts;
• car chemicals, polishes, paints, oils, and expendables for car repairs;
• car electronics, security systems, car accessories;
• workshop service equipment, tires and wheel rims.

On August 29th, the winners of the international independent professional contest in the market of car-service equipment supplies and brands in Russia “Golden Spanner” were awarded. The ceremony was organized by the publishing house “Automobile Time” and International Exhibition Center “Crocus-Expo” and receved support of the publishing house “Max-Media”, Non-Profit Union of car-service enterprises of Russia “Automobile Service Association” (ASA), GiPA, NAPTO (National Association of ventures specializing in vehicle servicing and repairs).

In 2014, the Group of GARO Companies was named a winner in the nomination “Best supplier of tire-changing and wheel-balancing equipment”.

Within the framework of a professional development program for employees of the GARO Group’s commercial division, on July 16 and 17 a training seminar was held at the training and demonstration center of the GARO Group on issues of operating car conditioner service units and automatic gearbox cleaning and oil-change units manufactured by Italian company TopAuto.

In 2014, the Group of GARO Companies was chosen as a participant of the independent contest “Golden Spanner” in the nomination “Best manufacturer of car-service equipment”. This contest takes place annually, with a support by Non-Profit Union of car-service enterprises of Russia “Automobile Service Association” (ASA) and such trade prints as “Car Business Management”, “Automobile Time” and “Car-body”.

Note that in 2012, the Group of GARO Companies has already been granted this award. The contest winners were awarded on August 29, 2012. Mr. Anatoly Alexeev, the Chairman of the GARO Group’s Board of Directors, participated in the awarding ceremony.

On this solemn date, we wish everyone bright sun and clear skies above, health, happiness and well-being.

On January 31, 2014, we finalized outcomes of the intracorporate contest “Professional achievements” for specialists of commercial departments within the GARO Group.

The main objective of such events is not only to determine and support the most active and promising employees but also to evaluate an employee’s personal input into the company’s progress.

In the nomination “Sales leader”, the winner is Vitaly Shingarev, the dealer department specialist, while the prize “For creative pursuit and innovations in the professional occupation” was awarded to Alexey Zhdan, the leading specialist of the dealer support department.

On December 17 through 18, 2013, the Group of GARO Companies held an international applied seminar at its demonstration center, involving representatives of widely-known European manufacturers and the group’s dealers.

The main aim of the seminar was to have foreign partners of the GARO Group presenting advanced European technologies that are implemented in state-of-the-art products.

During the seminar, participants also attended master-classes on operation of tire-changing and wheel-balancing equipment conducted by Giuliano representative, Mr. Alberto Tadolini, and a demonstration on MAD brake disk lathes by the Group’s specialist Denis Barinov, while Ms. Tatjana Nikolac (Filcar S.p.A.) lectured on the operating principles of exhaust gas extractors.

At the training closure, all participants received commemorative certificates and souvenirs from the GARO Group.

From November 15th to 17th, 2013, a team trip to the recreation center “Vatzy” near Valdai (Novgorod region) was organized for employees of the Group of GARO Companies.

The intense program of the recreation event included:

– sports;

– acting and dancing contests;

– ping-pong;

– paintball;

– pool.

Employees’ photo presentations proved once again that for many their work in a non-stop mode implies extreme sports hobbies, such as rafting, bicycle orienteering, or diving.

All participants received a powerful boost of positive emotions; no-one remained indifferent and a great number of favorable comments prove it:

… For me personally, the “Corporate weekend” is going to be one of the most intense impressions in the past year. I would like to thank all those who were engaged in meticulous preparations of this event. The program was varied, exciting and interesting. Even such hitches and deviations as were happening at some points, caused no sense of unpreparedness or rejection. This team retreat demonstrated once again that true consolidation happens only in the informal circumstances…

… Such events are very important for team-building. People that spend most of their time seeing each other at work especially need to have some time off in the informal setting. It enables us to see colleagues from a quite different viewpoint and learn more about them. Apart from everything else – it is so much fun!…
